A new monthly gathering for women is launching on the Isle of Wight this summer, offering a relaxed and welcoming space to discuss health and wellbeing topics, hear from local experts and enjoy good conversation. The idea behind the project is simple: to create a friendly, non-judgemental space where women can come together to talk openly about health and wellbeing issues that affect everyday life. Many women say they feel overwhelmed by the amount of advice, products and conflicting information available online, particularly around topics such as menopause, supplements, hormones, sleep, nutrition and healthy ageing. Women’s Fact-Share Social aims to cut through some of that noise by bringing local women together with trusted speakers and specialists for informal talks and discussion.
The sessions are not intended to be formal workshops or clinical health programmes. Instead, they will provide an opportunity to hear from knowledgeable local professionals, ask questions, share experiences and enjoy conversation in a relaxed social setting. Doors open at 5.30pm, with talks beginning at 6pm and finishing by 7.30pm.

Katie Clough | Consultant Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
We all know the benefits of yoga or Pilates, but in reality it doesn’t always fit with our busy working lives, or our commitment levels come 6pm! Spend any amount of time on social media and the answer is to simply stand on one leg whilst brushing our teeth, and seemingly we can prepare for ageing by getting up and off the floor without using our hands. Simples!
But do these things actually work, is there any science to back them up, and how should we be doing them?
For our inaugural event, we’ve asked Katie to talk to us about building extra movement and activities into our daily lives. Quick, simple little hacks that we can easily do whilst waiting for the kettle.
Katie’s talk will have some practical demonstrations. You’re welcome to join in if you wish. We’ll follow up her talk with questions & answers from the floor, but by all means please use our Facebook group page to submit questions in advance.
Our Women’s Fact-Share Social aims to create a relaxed, non-judgemental environment so ask anything you like, stay for as long as you like: stay for a drink, stay for a chat or nip off if you need to.
Next time: Wednesday 19th August 2026 Jodie Hughes | Endometriosis South Coast
