New: Women’s Fact-Share Social Launching on the Isle of Wight!

Trusted voices, real talk and good company.

Women’s Fact-Share Social is a new six-month pilot programme being hosted by Healthwatch Isle of Wight, Island Community-Owned Research Network (ICORN) and The Riverside Centre.

The idea behind the project is simple: to create a friendly, non-judgemental space where women can come together to talk openly about health and wellbeing issues that affect everyday life.

Many women say they feel overwhelmed by the amount of advice, products and conflicting information available online, particularly around topics such as menopause, supplements, hormones, sleep, nutrition and healthy ageing.

Women’s Fact-Share Social aims to cut through some of that noise by bringing local women together with trusted speakers and specialists for informal talks and discussion.

The sessions are not intended to be formal workshops or clinical health programmes. Instead, they will provide an opportunity to hear from knowledgeable local professionals, ask questions, share experiences and enjoy conversation in a relaxed social setting.

Each event will feature one or two guest speakers giving short presentations of around 20 minutes, followed by questions, discussion and informal networking. Parking for the events will be free and drinks and snacks will be available from The Riverside Centre bar.

“Sometimes it feels as though we’re surrounded by information but not always by understanding. Women’s Fact-Share Social is simply about creating a welcoming space where women can meet, talk openly, hear from trusted voices and enjoy each other’s company. We hope it will be informative, supportive and above all enjoyable.”
