Judging Criteria for Artwork Exhibition Applications
When evaluating submissions for the Community Canvas @ The Riverside Project, the following criteria will be used to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment of each artwork. These criteria aim to celebrate creativity, technical skill, and alignment with the exhibition’s goals and theme.
- Artistic Merit; Creativity, emotional impact and innovation.
- Technical Proficiency; Skill, execution and attention to detail.
- Originality; Personal style, distinctiveness
- Presentation and Display; appropriate framing or mounting, quality
Additional Considerations
Artist’s Statement: Insight provided in the accompanying statement or application.
Audience Engagement: Potential for the work to engage and resonate with a diverse audience.
Diversity and Inclusion: Efforts to represent varied perspectives, voices, or cultural narratives.
Note: Each submission will be reviewed by a panel of 3 judges. All decisions are final and made based on the above criteria. Applicants are encouraged to review these guidelines thoroughly before submitting their work.
